Have you ever come across some makeup and thought, “this looks familiar?” Same. Welcome to my new series Face Off, where I compare things that look similar (to me). This could be a product that claims to be a dupe of another or ones that I just came across on my own.

Today, I’m going to be comparing Jeffree Star’s Clout liquid lip and the shade Oral from the Mini Jawbreaker palette.

Clout Velour Liquid Lipstick
Oral from Mini Breaker

Now I know what you’re thinking. How are you comparing a lipstick and an eyeshadow? Well JS liquid lips are vegan and eye safe, and while I LOVE the shade Clout, it’s not my favorite shade for my lips so I’ve been eyeing it as an eyeshadow.

While organizing the other day, I noticed Oral in Mini Jawbreaker looked kind of similar to me so I decided to test them out.

I started by just doing my normal everyday face makeup and then priming my eyes with JS concealer in C2 and setting with translucent powder.

Then on my right eye, I went in with Clout and the Sigma E25 blending brush. I used the same brush to blend the color out under my eye as well. On the left eye, I went in with the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill JH40 brush and then blended out more with the JH33 brush. I used a Tarte pencil brush to apply the color under my eye and then blended it some with the JH33.

I really love how both eyes turned out. They both blended really smoothly and looked really pretty on the eye. Their individuality is also much better seen here compared to the swatches.

And the winner?I think it might be a tie?? I really like both. I love both in fact and I plan to use both colors again. I think they’d look reallllly pretty layered too. If I was FORCED to choose one though….I guess it would be oral. The lavender and blueish color is just so pretty on.

So that’s all for this round of Face Off. What do you think? Which color do you like better? Let me know in the comments!

See ya!
