Hey friends, it’s A!

One of the biggest changes for me in the last two years is that I turned 30! As I entered this new decade, I realized it was time to take stock of my habits and routines and see if there was room for improvement.

Growing up, my mom always stressed the importance of a good skincare routine so I’ve always been diligent about washing my face and applying moisturizer. But my skin has changed in the last few years and my preferences have too – I try to choose clean ingredients and cruelty-free products as often as possible.

And I think the result speak for themselves! So with that, let’s dive in and go over my favorite products.

Face Wash
I shower at night so that’s when I normally wash my face and that’s where we’ll start! For years, I’ve used Bliss products, including a few of their face washes but in the last year, I just wasn’t seeing results. So I picked up a travel size of Tula’s Cult Classic Purifying face cleanser during a sale and within days, noticed my face looked smoother and brighter. When my mom mentioned how good my skin was looking, I immediately added the full size bottle to my cart. It completely removes the light makeup I wear to work and leaves my skin feeling clean but not dry. For days where I have a full face of makeup on or use something like glitter, I start with Farmacy’s Green Clean Meltaway Makeup Balm.

Eye Cream
Starting with a clean face, my first step is eye cream. My sister turned me on to Tula’s Cooling & Brightening Eye Balm and I am obsessed. The tube applicator makes it super easy to apply and I love the cooling feeling under my eyes. I can get dark circles under my eyes pretty easily and Tula’s eye balm really helps. After swiping it on, I dab it in gently with my ring fingers.

Serums
Like I said, I’ve been a face of Bliss products for years and their AM/PM Serum Duo has become a staple of mine. In the morning, the Glow & Hydrate Day Serum has Niacinamide + Hyaluronic Acid which keeps my skin looking bright. At night, the Renew & Smooth Night Serum with glycolic acid gradually dissolves dead skin cells, which lets me wake up to super smooth & refined skin. I apply my serums after my eye cream but not to the eye area.

Moisturizer
Finishing off the routine is moisturizer of course! My favorite is Versed’s Moisturizing Dewpoint Gel-Cream. It is super light and never leaves my skin feeling greasy. It must be a favorite for many because it was out of stock last time I was in need, so I’m currently using their Weekend Glow Daily Brightening Skin Moisturizer and I love it, too.

Extras
Occasionally, I need some extra help between cleansing and applying products and that’s where toner comes in. Thayers Alcohol-Free Rose Petal Witch Hazel Facial Toner is my favorite. I love the smell of it but it isn’t overwhelmingly floral.

Luckily, I’ve never really had terrible acne issues but I do deal with blackheads and hormonal acne. I’m allergic to benzoyl peroxide, so I can’t use all acne products. Differin has always been my go-to for a stubborn zit or a deep pimple and continues to be a staple.

Future Products
As I get older, I have thought about adding some kind of lip product. I think it would be particularly useful in the winter, but I’d also love to find something that helps with wrinkles around the mouth as well. I don’t have any wrinkles there, but I don’t want any either!

And there you have it! Those are all my favorite skincare products right now. Is there anything you use that you can’t live without? Any products I should try? Let me know in the comments!
